Since the viewer is stationary, it's probably an easy introduction to VR as people are less likely to feel dizzy if they only peek for short period.ĭo you think you can add a "fix ratio" option that sets the degree of coverage based off the aspect ratio of the video and the diameter of the virtual cylinde I would say these are easily good enough to be used as a showcase whenever anyone demonstrates their rift. I had no trouble viewing your other world heritage images as well with these settings. This also depends on which lenses people are using i think. At about ~2.0 it seems to work pretty ok for me. I'm also unsure of the proper FOV, Playing around a bit is probably a good idea, just like with the barrel distortion. Setting can be found from the plugin settings. However, I find Barrel-distortion with about ~strenght 2.0 to look more natural than with pinchusion (depending on the lenses i suppose, this with C-lenses). I tried these and they work reasonably well with a rift. Please enjoy the VR still photos in 3D by head tracking manner with Oculus Rift. I am satisfied with the feeling of tele-existence in viewing these contents with Oculus, while I need to improve stitch accuracy, etc. Shots were done handheld by keeping rotation around the center of nodal points of L and R cameras as less as possible to minimize the parallax among the shots. Right under shots are eliminated as I didn't prepare such rig for not to shoot legs or tripod. Anaglyph versions are also uploaded for previewing purpose.
#GOPRO VR PLAYER DISTORTION PRO#
I shot two layers of four horizontal shots (total 8 shots) on twin GH2 with Samyang 7.5 mm fish eye lenses and synthesized using PTGui Pro for stitch and fine-adjustment/alignment by using Premiere Pro and exported as a 4096x2048 Over/Under 3D format. Open File - Direct Show-xx.jpg (4096x2048, Over/Under file) You can view them with VRPlayer (v.0.4.1 ALPHA).
